On the hills from Valdobbiadene to the borders with the Friuli Venezia Giulia region, passing through the village of Combai. The Verdiso can not be found on a plain such it happened in the past; everybody knows that this wine grows better on sunny and breezy hills.
Some vineyards reach 400 metres and it is difficult to work them, but at the same time the growner’s view is satisfied by the magic landscape around him.
Tourists would surely admire the beautiful scenery, going through the numerous paths and streets on the hills, once covered by glaciers and still marked by their boughs. Nature, history and farmer culture enrich this environment, that finds in the wine its highest expression.
In these lands, tourists will find kind people and suitable accommodation, but also a lot of historical sites, as well as the San Salvatore Castle in Susegana, the Abbey of Follina, the Parish Church in San Pietro di Feletto, the Brandolini Castle in Cison di Valmarino, the historical centre of Serravalle in Vittorio Veneto and many others, where it is possible to taste Verdiso with typical dishes, too.
